| Is your Realtor the right fit for you? |

Well.....if your Realtor is someone other than me...then it is probably not a good fit. I am only kidding because I even know when a client and I are not a good fit for each other. How do you know if your Realtor is not good for you?
Sometimes clients are busy working to find a home or trying to sell their home and experience issues with their real estate agent. They are unaware that these issues may be a sign of a bad fit and are not just issues they have to deal with. You do have a choice.
I have clients tell me that Realtors do not call back. Some people have told me that their Realtor does not listen to their requests and still shows them homes that are out of their price range or simply do not have the features desired by the buyer.
Seller's often state that their Realtor does not call to update them on the status of the home. They feel that the Realtor put up a sign and disappeared.
To these issues I say........FIRE THEM! Do not be afraid to fire your Realtor. If they are not listening to you and are not working hard to meet your needs then they do not have a right to collect a commission for simply filling out a contract.
A Realtor should call you, keep you in the loop, update you on the market, update you on the transaction and most importantly make you feel like you and them are working together to buy or sell a home.
If you feel like you and your Realtor have somewhat of a team effort and feel, then most likely he/she is right for you. It does not always have to feel like you and them are side by side, I mean, your Realtor definitely has to take the lead on certain things in order to get it done. But it has to feel like you know what is going on and that you trust the person that is on your side in the transaction.
